Privacy Policy

The short version

AskStage does not require accounts. We collect the minimum data needed to run live Q&A sessions. We do not sell your data. Sessions and their questions are automatically deleted after expiry.

What we collect

• →Session data: Session title, mode, and settings created by the host. Stored until the session expires.
• →Questions: Text and optional name submitted by audience members. Visible to the host and, if approved, displayed on screen at the event.
• →Usage analytics: Anonymous page view data via Vercel Analytics. No personal identifiers are stored.
• →IP addresses: Used only for rate limiting (max 5 questions per IP per session per minute). Not stored permanently.

What we don't collect

• ✓Email addresses or passwords — no accounts are required
• ✓Device identifiers or fingerprints beyond session-scoped vote tracking
• ✓Location data
• ✓Payment information — AskStage is free

How your data is used

Data is used solely to operate the Q&A session you are participating in. Questions submitted by audience members are reviewed by the session host before being displayed. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties.

Data retention

Sessions expire automatically after 6 hours of inactivity. All associated questions are deleted on expiry. Hosts can also end and delete a session at any time.
